This page explains what types of information I receive when you visit xcweather.co.uk, and how I safeguard that information. I never sell personal information to third parties.

This Site is affiliated with CMI Marketing, Inc., d/b/a Raptive (“Raptive”) for the purposes of placing advertising on the Site, and Raptive will collect and use certain data for advertising purposes. Cookies

Cookies are small text files that the browser stores on your computer or mobile phone. You can think of cookies as providing a 'memory' for the website, allowing me to store your preferences so you don't have to reset them each time you visit (e.g. wind speed in Miles per Hour or Knots). I also use a cookie to store your previous forecast locations. You can empty this cookie by clicking on the 'Clear History' link.

Analytics

When someone visits XCWeather, Google generates anonymous analytics information. Analytics tells me how many users I have, and how often they visit the site. I cannot use this information to identify individuals. https://policies.google.com/privacy

Log Files

As with most other websites, my web servers create a log file that allows me to find errors and see site usage. The information in the logs includes IP address, browser type, time of the visit and pages viewed. These logs are deleted after 14 days.
