Installing XCWeather on your phone Home Screen
From your browser's 'Share' menu select the 'Add to Home Screen' button. This will place an XCWeather icon on your phone's home screen like a native application.Red Arrows
Red arrows show that the wind is gusting.The wind is said to be gusting if the maximum speed is 10 knots or more above the current average speed.

Bookmark regularly used locations in your browser to go directly to their forecast.Colour Keys
The colour keys for wind speed etc. are displayed at the bottom of the forecast in the section labelled Keys.Wind Strength
Each wind strength colour represents a Force on the Beaufort scale.The wind speed units can be changed on the Settings page.
Wind Direction
The wind direction is defined as the direction from which the wind originates.This means that an arrow that points from north to south indicates a northerly wind (a wind that comes from the north). more
Temperature
Temperatures below 0°C are shown in blue.Rain
The amount of rain is given as the total water expected to fall over the next one or three hours.
Be aware that the same quantity may arrive as a short sharp shower or a much longer period of lighter rain.

Snow
This is an estimate as the actual depth may vary according to the type of snow that falls.
